JIS Orthopedics of New Albany, Ohio, and Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville will be jointly offering outpatient surgical services and treatment at Cambridge Surgical Suites, an ambulatory surgery center, at 61605 Southgate Rd., beginning in January.

“The new facility will bring convenience, value, and improved accessibility to the people living in and around Cambridge,” said Keith Berend, M.D., JIS Orthopedics Surgeon and OrthoAlliance Chief Medical Development Officer. “The presence of this center in the community will greatly reduce the drive time and distance for patients, who can now stay local for world-class surgery and care.”

Cambridge is centrally located with easy access to major transportation corridors – including Interstates 70 and 77 – and the population centers of Zanesville, Marietta, Stubenville, Athens, Canton, and St. Clairsville in Ohio as well as the West Virginia communities of Wheeling, Parkersburg, and New Martinsville.

The new center marks the first time JIS and OAZ will be working in concert to care for patients through this Ambulatory Surgical Center.

“OAZ is proud to be a part of this exciting effort to expand patient access to expert clinicians and the best orthopedic and sports medicine care in Ohio,” said OAZ President Benjamin Pulley, M.D. “The shared focus of JIS and OAZ is on delivering compassionate, individualized, exceptional and comprehensive bone, joint and muscle care to our patients.”

OAZ and JIS are both members of OrthoAlliance, a Cincinnati-based management services organization formed in partnership with leading physician practices and Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm. The company is building one of the country’s leading orthopedic management organizations, providing operations, marketing, and patient experience expertise and resources to partner practices working at the forefront of life-changing advances in orthopedics and sports medicine.

Since 2019, OA has grown quickly to 150 physicians and more than 2,000 employees.
